Overview
Westbow Group of Companies is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR operations at its Chilliwack, British Columbia location. This is a full-time, on-site position, meaning the work must be performed at the physical workplace with no remote option.

Budgetary Responsibility
This role carries oversight of a budget ranging from $1,500,001 to $4,000,000.
What You Will Do
- Handle staff consultation and grievance processes.
- Delegate projects to team members related to employment, compensation, labour relations, and employee relations.
- Support and coordinate HR department activities so they align with organizational objectives.
- Review day-to-day operations and recommend improvements where needed.
- Design, roll out, and assess HR policies and programs.
- Provide training to staff.
- Guide managers and employees on HR policy interpretation, benefits, and collective agreements.
- Create and maintain policies and procedures.
- Develop recruitment plans and hiring strategies.
- Research occupational groups, job descriptions, and compensation structures.
- Coordinate employee performance management and appraisal processes.
- Research employee benefits and health and safety practices, then suggest updates.
- Address employee inquiries and concerns.
- Recruit, hire, train, and oversee staff.
- Work with management, union representatives, and HR consultants.
- Organize consultation and grievance handling activities for staff.
- Carry out performance reviews.
- Recommend better methods, systems, and work procedures.
Supervision
Supervision of staff across multiple areas of responsibility is required.
