Role Overview
General Hotels Corporation is hiring a Housekeeping Room Inspector for its Holiday Inn and Suites property in Hopkinsville, KY. The role focuses on keeping guest rooms up to hotel standards, supporting and observing housekeeping staff as they work, and keeping housekeeping leadership informed about any issues or exceptions. The position also includes helping with a range of housekeeping and guest-service tasks, including lost-and-found handling, phone support, and other day-to-day needs within the department.
Key Duties
- Check all vacant rooms each day in the assigned section and spot-check occupied rooms when needed.
- Confirm that every guest room has the required linens and amenities stocked to standard on a daily basis.
- Verify that rooms are cleaned to the expected standard and that daily cleaning assignments have been completed as directed by the office.
- Observe housekeeping staff and their work on the floor, and escalate concerns to the housekeeping manager right away.
- Support housekeeping managers with office and back-of-house work, including lost-and-found handling, shipping tasks, and routine office procedures.
- Jump in with room cleaning or laundry support when required.
- Help with special assignments and other projects as they come up.
- Always maintain a warm, courteous, and service-focused approach toward guests.
