Role overview
BlueCare is hiring a Home Services Lead for the Yeppoon Capricorn Aged Care Facility in Rockhampton, Queensland. This position can be offered as full time or part time and is focused on delivering dependable, person-centred home services that support residents, families, and stakeholders.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships and improving the everyday experience of others through practical, high-quality service delivery.
Key duties
- Direct the daily delivery of food service, cleaning, and laundry operations.
- Guide, coach, and develop team members to foster an accountable and engaged workplace culture.
- Make sure services are completed safely, efficiently, and to a consistently strong standard.
- Manage workflow, rostering, and overall operational performance.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, infection control, and quality requirements.
- Develop positive working relationships with residents, families, and internal stakeholders.
- Look for ways to strengthen service delivery and improve the customer experience.
- Support a culture of ongoing improvement, quality, and care.
Role requirements
Applicants should bring prior service operations leadership experience, ideally in aged care, healthcare, or a similar regulated setting. The role calls for a proactive person who can help their team deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred services while keeping a strong focus on compliance and improvement.
- Solid understanding of food safety, infection control, and service standards in a regulated environment.
- Experience leading teams in kitchen operations, cleaning, and/or laundry services.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including coaching, rostering, and building a positive team environment.
- Strong organisation, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
- Well-developed communication and relationship-building skills for working with residents, families, and stakeholders.
Qualifications and licences
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, or a Diploma.
- A relevant trade or operational qualification such as Certificate IV in Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, or a similar field, or equivalent supervisory experience.
- Food Safety Supervisor certification.
- Ability to meet all required probity checks under legislation and BlueCare policies.
Pay and benefits
The advertised pay rate is $39.21 per hour, plus superannuation, not-for-profit salary packaging, penalties, and allowances.
