Heavy Duty Driver

Role Overview

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Heavy Duty Driver to support delivery operations in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on safe transport, timely route execution, vehicle upkeep, and smooth coordination with supervisors, workshop staff, and distribution assistants.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep the vehicle in proper working condition and promptly inform the supervisor and workshop team about any defects or complaints.
• Plan deliveries in order of priority and propose practical improvements to the day’s route schedule.
• Record and report any damage, shortage, or excess noticed during deliveries.
• Address customer concerns calmly and professionally, using the approved process and escalating non-conformities when needed.
• Accurately complete trip sheets with all required details and submit them to the supervisor at the end of each shift.
• Send delivery notes to OCC within 24 hours after delivery.
• Follow all HSE requirements at all times.
• Oversee distribution assistants and immediately report any misconduct to the supervisor.
• Strictly follow traffic laws and ensure no fines or penalties arise due to violations.
• Carry out other related tasks or projects assigned by the direct supervisor as business needs require.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have completed matriculation or an equivalent level of education. A minimum of 2 years of driving experience in the UAE is required.

• Good understanding of UAE traffic regulations and road safety practices
• Reliable vision for both daytime and nighttime driving
