About the Company
Foodhub is a rapidly scaling global technology business now entering a new growth phase. With a newly opened headquarters in Dublin and teams operating across the UK, USA, ANZ and India, the company is strengthening its senior leadership group to support its next stage of expansion.
This role offers the chance to join a profitable, debt-free organisation that has consistently grown year on year across several international markets. It combines the pace and ambition of a scale-up with the backing and stability of an established global business.
Role Overview
Foodhub is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Group Financial Controller to help build and shape the financial framework of a fast-growing international technology group. Reporting to the CEO/Founder, this person will take ownership of global reporting, support acquisitions, drive finance transformation, and help scale finance operations across Ireland, the UK, the USA, ANZ and India.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee group reporting, including annual statutory audits, consolidated financial statements and local entity accounts across all jurisdictions, with strong responsibility for US GAAP reporting, federal and multi-state filings, and US regulatory compliance.
- Manage the month-end close and group-wide management reporting cycle, ensuring information is delivered accurately, consistently and on time.
- Work closely with the executive team to provide commercial analysis and financial insight that informs strategic decisions.
- Prepare timely management information for leadership, including KPI dashboards, variance analysis and forward-looking insights across all regions.
- Continuously improve reporting processes, finance systems and internal controls, building scalable structures to support expansion in the US and other international markets.
- Serve as a trusted finance partner to non-finance teams across the business, including operational leaders in every geography and the US leadership team.
- Support mergers and acquisitions through the full deal process, from financial due diligence to post-acquisition financial integration.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, legal advisers and banking partners in the relevant jurisdictions.
- Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing Group Reporting Team, defining ownership clearly across regions and promoting accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified, ideally with training experience in a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy practice, and a strong foundation in audit, financial reporting and group consolidation.
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, including a minimum of 2 years at Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance or a similar senior finance leadership level in a complex multi-entity, international organisation.
- Experience running finance operations across multiple countries, with US entities, US GAAP, international tax structures and transfer pricing considered a strong advantage.
- A proven history of leading acquisitions and successfully integrating acquired businesses within a group structure.
- Deep technical accounting knowledge, including the ability to handle complex consolidation, intercompany and currency translation matters in a multi-entity environment.
- A commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, able to balance strong financial governance with the speed and flexibility needed in a founder-led growth business.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders, build cross-functional relationships and turn complex numbers into practical business insight.
- Strong leadership ability, with experience developing and motivating finance teams during rapid growth and organisational change.
- Comfortable working at both strategic and hands-on levels, and willing to step in and drive execution when needed.
Benefits
- 33 days of annual leave each year, inclusive of public holidays.
- Option to buy up to 5 extra annual leave days per year.
- Private medical insurance.
- Private dental insurance.
- Pension scheme.
- Death-in-service cover worth 4x annual salary.
- €35 monthly gym contribution.
- A guaranteed birthday day off when requested.
