Role Overview

Jetson is hiring a General Manager to run the Nashville branch and own every part of its launch and ongoing performance. This is a new market with no existing team, no completed installs, and no local footprint yet. In this role, you will create and lead a team of residential HVAC and electrical professionals, shape the business plan, keep operations running smoothly, and maintain strong standards for customer service, safety, and compliance. You will be responsible for the branch P&L and for building the operating playbook from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day functioning of the Nashville branch, including scheduling, installations, service visits, quality checks, and safety adherence.
  • Recruit, build, and guide a strong team of HVAC technicians, electricians, project coordinators, and administrative employees from scratch.
  • Be actively present in the market each day, model Jetson’s culture, and help attract and select high-caliber people who reflect the company’s values.
  • Coach and develop field staff so they can consistently deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Oversee relationships with vendors and subcontractors, and ensure partners meet expectations for quality and performance.
  • Create local partnerships with utilities, contractors, and community groups to strengthen brand visibility and generate customer demand.
  • Collect market intelligence and manage local regulatory, permitting, and compliance work, including Maryland contractor licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with central teams in Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to improve offerings, elevate customer experience, and stay aligned with company goals.
  • Use data and KPIs to drive ongoing improvement and support corporate objectives.
  • Prepare and share regular financial and operational updates with the executive team.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience leading technicians, installers, or other skilled-trades teams in home services or a field-service setting. You should bring an entrepreneurial mindset, comfort with full P&L ownership, and a history of building successful teams from the ground up. Strong leadership, hiring, onboarding, coaching, accountability, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication abilities are essential.

You should also be comfortable using business software, CRM platforms, and Google Workspace, and have experience with modern tools, including AI, to streamline and improve operations. Familiarity with OSHA Electrical standards and OSHA Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements is expected. A background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related residential home-improvement area is important. An HVACR Master Contractor License is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. You must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel within the service area.

Compensation for this role is $140,000 to $165,000 per year.
