Full-Time Nanny Position

Role Overview

Jovie is looking to add dependable babysitters and nannies to its childcare team in Shaker Heights, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone with experience in babysitting, daycare, nursery volunteering, or teaching who enjoys working with children in a smaller, more personal setting. The position focuses on caring for children from toddler age through elementary school while their parents are at work. Most schedules fall on Monday through Friday during regular daytime hours, and several openings are currently available in the area.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $16 to $18 per hour.

What the Job Involves

• Provide in-home care for children while their parents are working.
• Support children through play, reading, arts and crafts, and other age-appropriate activities.
• Offer a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment based on each child’s developmental stage.
• Care for children only within the age groups aligned with your prior experience.
• Work in families’ homes without being asked to transport children.
• Handle only simple cleanup related to meals and activities with the child.

Candidate Profile

• You truly enjoy spending time with children and bring energy, creativity, and warmth to your work.
• You communicate well with parents and team members.
• You are available at least five days a week for 6 to 9 hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
• You have dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license for commuting to assignments.
• You have at least 1 year of hands-on childcare experience.
• You can provide 3 references in total, including 2 references connected to work with children and 1 personal character reference.
• You are 18 years of age or older.
• You are reliable and families can count on you.
