Job overview
Technical Forest Services P/L is hiring dependable, punctual forestry fire staff for its Albany team in Western Australia. In this role, you will support fire-related and general forestry work while helping maintain safe working conditions for yourself and the people around you. This position suits someone who manages time well, enjoys outdoor work in changing conditions, and works effectively as part of a team.
Key duties
- Carry out forestry fire response and standby assignments.
- Assist with fire reduction and silvicultural forestry tasks.
- Help with weed management activities.
- Collect forest information and field data.
Skills and qualifications
- Ability to organise work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Good physical fitness and comfort working outside in all weather.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to follow directions and share observations accurately.
- A current Class C driver's licence is required.
Preferred background
The following experience or qualifications are not mandatory, but will be considered an advantage:
- Medium or Heavy Rigid driver qualifications.
- DFES firefighting qualifications.
