Financial Data Analyst

Overview

This contract role is for a Financial Data Analyst working remotely in the United States. The position focuses on analyzing financial information, maintaining data quality, and supporting annotation work for large datasets. The expected commitment is 10 to 40 hours per week, with compensation ranging from $40 to $65 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine complex financial information and turn it into accurate, high-quality annotations.
• Use advanced spreadsheet methods to structure, check, and work with large volumes of data.
• Tag, label, and classify financial records with a strong focus on consistency and precision.
• Partner with data science and product teams to communicate financial observations and insights.
• Inspect financial documents to confirm they are complete and aligned with established compliance standards.
• Present findings clearly in both written and spoken form to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Relevant professional experience in finance, financial analysis, or a closely related area.
• Advanced skills in spreadsheet software, including Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Hands-on experience with financial data annotation or data labeling.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High accuracy and careful attention to detail when handling data and reports.
