Role Summary

The Facilities Project Assistant Manager will help plan, coordinate, and deliver facilities-related initiatives for Al-Qadsiah Club. The position supports renovation work, upgrades, new installations, and improvement projects across club premises, with responsibility for helping ensure delivery on schedule, within budget, and in line with quality, safety, and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Maintenance Manager in organizing and carrying out facilities and infrastructure projects.
• Help prepare schedules, monitor budgets, track costs, and compile progress updates.
• Work with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to keep projects moving smoothly.
• Check project progress against approved designs, technical specifications, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Review drawings, method statements, material submissions, and related project paperwork.
• Follow up on milestones, risks, issues, and change items, and escalate updates to management.
• Assist with site visits, progress reviews, and coordination meetings with contractors.
• Make sure health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards are followed at all project locations.
• Contribute to handover activities such as snagging, as-built records, operation and maintenance manuals, and warranty documentation.
• Keep project files, reports, and records accurate and up to date.

Requirements

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a similar discipline. The position calls for 4 to 6 years of experience in facilities projects, construction, or project management, ideally within large facilities or sports-related environments. A solid grasp of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, and architectural works, is important. Experience handling budgets, schedules, and contractor coordination is needed. Strong MS Office skills are expected, and familiarity with CMMS or project management software is an added advantage. Good English communication skills are required, while Arabic is beneficial.

Preferred Background

Experience in sports clubs, stadiums, hospitality, or large mixed-use facilities will be valued. Knowledge of project management practices, basic contract administration, local regulations, safety requirements, and permitting processes is also preferred. Exposure to working with consultants, authorities, and multiple contractors will strengthen a candidate’s profile.
