Environmental Project Manager

Role overview

This position is for a full-time Environmental Project Manager based in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on leading environmental consultancy assignments and ensuring they are delivered effectively, on time, and in line with regulatory expectations.

Core duties

The selected professional will oversee a range of environmental projects, such as Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), environmental monitoring programs, compliance audits, permitting work, and broader environmental studies. A key part of the job is maintaining coordination between clients, government or regulatory bodies, and internal project teams so that each assignment progresses smoothly and meets compliance requirements.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline is required. The company is looking for someone with more than 10 years of experience handling environmental project management work in a consultancy setting. Professional certifications in environmental management would be considered an advantage.

Required capability

The role calls for practical experience in Environmental Impact Assessment, environmental monitoring, and environmental consulting. Strong report-writing skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively are essential. Candidates should also bring solid knowledge of environmental issues, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work style

The ideal candidate should be able to operate independently when needed and also contribute effectively within a team in a demanding, fast-moving environment. Preference will be given to applicants already located in Qatar.
