Work setting and schedule

• You may be assigned to a range of site types across the region, such as construction, retail, healthcare, tertiary education, and others.
• Guaranteed weekly hours are provided.
• Roster options are either Thursday to Saturday or Sunday to Wednesday.
• Assignments will be in your local area, with sites available in South/Central or North/West Auckland.
• Both full-time and part-time hours are available.
• This is a fixed-term role for 6 months, with the possibility of moving into permanent employment and further career growth after the contract ends.
• Weekly pay is offered.

What the role involves

• Provide a visible, approachable security presence that helps create a safe and welcoming environment for visitors and staff.
• Control site access, complete routine security inspections, and watch for possible safety concerns.
• Handle incidents in a calm and professional manner, using de-escalation skills while treating people with respect.
• Maintain accurate documentation and submit incident or issue reports clearly and promptly.
• Collaborate with teammates and site partners to help maintain a safe and inclusive environment.

Eligibility and compliance

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• You must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
• You should already hold, or be able to obtain, a current NZ COA (Certificate of Approval) security licence.
• A clean criminal conviction record is required.
• You need to be available for varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
