Role overview
An established healthcare facility in Cork is looking to appoint a qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician to support its Facilities team. This is a permanent, long-term role in a controlled, highly regulated environment, where you will help keep essential building services and electrical infrastructure operating safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance as well as urgent fault-finding and repairs across electrical systems and building services.
- Service and diagnose issues with electrical distribution networks, generators, UPS units, HVAC and air-conditioning equipment, and related plant.
- Attend equipment breakdowns and take part in the site’s on-call arrangement.
- Work with external contractors and collaborate with colleagues across other maintenance disciplines.
- Record maintenance activity accurately in CMMS and BMS platforms.
- Carry out all duties in accordance with health, safety, and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Fully qualified electrician with a completed apprenticeship or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Practical experience in facilities, building services, or general maintenance work.
- Solid understanding of electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, and HVAC equipment.
- Prior exposure to Building Management Systems would be an advantage.
- A dependable, hands-on approach with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
