Digital Designer

Role overview

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Digital Designer to join its Buildings team in Auckland. This position is ideal for someone in the early to mid stage of their career who wants to strengthen technical skills while contributing to projects that influence how communities live, work, and connect.

What you will do

• Create accurate, high-quality drawings and models using CAD and Revit.
• Assist structural and building services engineers with design documentation.
• Support projects from early concept stages through detailed design.
• Contribute to a range of building projects across commercial, infrastructure, and public sector work.
• Maintain consistency, precision, and compliance with project drafting standards.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated design outcomes.

What we are looking for

• Hands-on experience with CAD and Revit in a consulting or construction setting.
• Exposure to structural and/or building services projects.
• Sound understanding of design documentation workflows.
• Careful attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• A team-focused attitude and openness to learning from others.
• A relevant qualification in engineering design, drafting, or a similar field.
