Digital Applications Administrator (Banking Sector)

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Digital Applications Administrator to support and improve enterprise digital platforms used in a banking setting. The role is based in Doha, Qatar and involves hands-on administration of applications hosted on Red Hat OpenShift.

Key Requirements

• You should bring at least 5 years of relevant experience in application administration and middleware support.
• Strong working knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm Charts is essential.
• Experience with DevOps platforms such as Jenkins and GitLab is required.
• You must be proficient in IBM API Connect, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM MQ, IBM DataPower, CP4I, and CP4D.
• Practical exposure to REST and SOAP APIs, Kafka, and API gateway technologies is needed.
• You should be familiar with monitoring and observability tools including Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and the ELK Stack.
• Good command of Red Hat Linux, Apache, and shell scripting is expected.
• Knowledge of SSL/TLS, security hardening, and vulnerability management is required.
• Experience in disaster recovery, high availability, and performance tuning is important.
• You should have prior exposure to deployment management, incident resolution, monitoring, patching, and system administration.
• A solid understanding of ITIL practices, SLA management, and audit compliance is necessary.
• Redis administration experience will be considered an added advantage.
• Banking industry experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain critical digital applications and integration platforms.
• Track system stability, investigate issues, and keep services available.
• Handle application deployments, version upgrades, patching, and security reinforcement.
• Support disaster recovery setups and ensure business continuity preparedness.
• Maintain adherence to operational controls, security standards, and audit expectations.
