About the Role
Moriarty Group is seeking an experienced delivery van driver to support the home delivery operation at Moriarty’s Super Valu in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, working across the Balbriggan and Skerries stores. The business is an Irish-owned group active in grocery retail and hospitality, with three large Super Valu supermarkets in Balbriggan, Skerries, and Palmerstown, plus two 4-star hotels in Balbriggan and Leixlip. The organisation employs around 550 people.
This is a full-time opportunity for someone with prior van driving experience who can help ensure grocery deliveries reach customers’ homes and local businesses efficiently and professionally.
Working Pattern
The position averages 39 to 40 hours per week. Work is scheduled over 5 days across a 6-day week, mainly Monday to Saturday. Sunday work may occasionally be required during busy periods or when business demands increase, such as at Christmas. Early starts are part of the role.
Key Duties
- Support the store’s home delivery team in day-to-day operations.
- Deliver grocery orders to residential and business addresses using the store van.
- Maintain a consistently high standard of customer service during every delivery.
- Help keep the delivery schedule running smoothly and on time.
- Coordinate closely with the checkout manager and store manager.
- Look after the delivery van and keep it in proper working condition.
- Carry out HACCP-related duties.
Requirements
- A valid, full, clean driving licence that permits van driving is essential.
- Previous experience as a van driver is required.
- Knowledge of the local area would be helpful, though it is not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and people skills are needed.
- English must be fluent, both written and spoken.
- The ability to handle several tasks at once is important.
- Clear communication skills are required.
- Good planning and organisational ability is essential.
- You should be comfortable working independently as well as within a team.
- Availability for early starts and weekend shifts is necessary.

Compensation
The pay is approximately €15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
