Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Day Porter to maintain cleanliness and safety in our facilities. This role involves regular cleaning of common areas, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized, and restocking essential supplies. The Day Porter will also be responsible for adhering to strict safety protocols, particularly when handling cleaning agents and maintaining clear, hazard-free walkways.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in common areas.
• Wipe down and disinfect surfaces, doors, and frequently touched areas.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and ventilation systems.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
• Ensure adequate stock of essential supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.

Safety Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of cleaning agents as per SDS sheets.
• Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and masks when handling chemicals.
• Securely store all chemicals, ensuring they are kept away from public access and food preparation areas.
• Maintain clear and safe walkways, entryways, and floors by promptly removing spills, debris, and potential trip hazards.
• Employ wet floor signs and other warning devices during cleaning activities to prevent accidents.
