Data Scientist

Role overview

We are looking for an accomplished Data Scientist to join the Abu Dhabi team on a full-time, on-site basis. This position calls for deep expertise in machine learning and AI, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in airline or aviation environments. The role focuses on building scalable AI solutions that improve customer journeys, operational efficiency, and decision-making across the travel ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will bring advanced hands-on experience in generative AI, regression, modeling, and LLM-based solutions. Revenue management background is considered an added advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Create, train, and operationalize machine learning and AI models to address business challenges in the airline domain, including pricing, demand forecasting, customer experience, and operations.
• Design advanced analytics solutions using NLP, deep learning, and generative AI approaches.
• Develop AI-enabled products such as chatbots, recommendation engines, and intelligent automation workflows.
• Analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to uncover meaningful, actionable insights.
• Partner with business, engineering, and product stakeholders to deliver solutions with real operational impact.
• Deploy solutions at scale on cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure using modern development frameworks.
• Track model performance and make continuous improvements to boost accuracy and efficiency.

Required skills and qualifications

• Strong practical background in machine learning, deep learning, and AI techniques.
• Experience with NLP, LLMs, and/or generative AI use cases such as RAG and chatbots.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data processing technologies such as PySpark.
• Exposure to cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Working knowledge of deployment tools and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, and Docker.
• Prior experience in the airline or travel industry, especially in pricing, operations, or customer analytics, is highly desirable.
• Ability to break down business problems and convert them into analytical and technical solutions.

Preferred experience

• Experience building real-time data pipelines and automation-driven AI solutions.
• Familiarity with modern tools such as LangChain, Snowflake, or comparable data platforms.
• Exposure to collaborating with international or cross-functional teams.
