Data & Analytics Lead

KPMG New Zealand is seeking a senior leader to guide data and analytics consulting work that helps organisations improve decision-making, modernise processes, and adopt AI-led solutions. In this position, you will work in a fast-moving consulting setting, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to meaningful client outcomes across a range of industries.

What you will do

• Take ownership of the delivery of high-value consulting assignments centred on data strategy, advanced analytics, and AI adoption.
• Work alongside senior stakeholders to create solutions that address client challenges and convert data into usable insights.
• Support business growth by drawing on your existing network to generate opportunities in the AI and analytics space.
• Help build the practice by developing approaches, tools, and thought leadership around new and emerging technologies.
• Coach, motivate, and develop professionals within the team while encouraging collaboration and ongoing learning.

What you need to bring

• At least 8 years of advisory experience, with a strong emphasis on data and analytics as well as AI-based solutions.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex engagements, guiding cross-functional teams, and delivering strong outcomes for clients.
• Working knowledge of data platforms, including architecture and integration, along with machine learning and newer AI technologies.
• A strategic outlook, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build durable professional relationships.
• A relevant tertiary qualification and, ideally, membership in a professional body related to your field.
