About the role
This opportunity is for a Data Analyst focused on finance-related analysis. The role centers on working with enterprise data, building visual analytics solutions, and identifying trends, patterns, and actionable insights across multiple information systems. The findings will help leadership with decision-making, long-range planning, and policy formulation. The position calls for strong statistical, data science, and visualization capabilities, along with the ability to present complex results in a clear and practical way to different audiences.
Responsibilities
- Study assigned business problems and create a plan to locate, gather, and examine the data needed to improve performance.
- Use statistical and data science methods to analyze internal enterprise information and build actionable insights and predictive models from multiple sources.
- Apply a range of analytical tools and techniques to business issues and communicate the results effectively to management and other stakeholders.
- Develop, evaluate, and model operational, financial, managerial, economic, and organizational datasets to support strategic work.
- Measure the performance of different business segments to highlight strengths and areas that need improvement.
- Assess possible operational changes by studying data and estimating likely impacts and outcomes.
- Create new methods and approaches that improve the quality and efficiency of data analysis work.
- Review ongoing program data to spot trends and recommend corrective actions that improve efficiency.
- Convert complex statistical results into practical insights that support leadership decisions.
- Model the company’s values of teamwork, responsibility, safety, service, and stewardship in daily work.
- Take on additional duties as needed to help the team and organization succeed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL Server, Python, or R.
- Experience with analytics and presentation tools such as Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex findings clearly and concisely to varied audiences.
- Strong curiosity about data, good business understanding, and a highly analytical mindset.
- Experience with statistical software such as SAS, Python, or R is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are highly beneficial.
