About the company
Busek is an established innovator in advanced space propulsion and related technologies, based in Natick, Massachusetts. The organization creates solutions that support the next generation of space exploration, including electric propulsion, chemical propulsion, and advanced materials development.
Role summary
Busek is looking for a Data Analyst to review test and production data for space propulsion systems. In this position, you will collaborate with Engineering, Test Operations, and Manufacturing to turn complex technical data into practical insights that help improve product performance, production workflows, and readiness for manufacturing.
The company values people who are analytical, naturally curious, and able to work with minimal supervision. Candidates with experience in electric propulsion are welcome, but strong data analysis experience in engineering or manufacturing environments is also highly relevant.
Key responsibilities
Your work will focus on analyzing data from testing, production, and manufacturing activities to uncover patterns, irregularities, and improvement opportunities. You will also build reports, dashboards, and visual tools that help technical teams and leadership understand the findings.
- Study engineering, manufacturing, and test datasets to identify trends, outliers, and areas for improvement.
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations that clearly communicate technical results to engineering and leadership stakeholders.
- Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test Operations to support product development and production goals.
- Check data accuracy and maintain the integrity of engineering and manufacturing records.
- Assist with root-cause analysis by applying data review and statistical methods.
- Help build automated reporting and analysis solutions that improve productivity.
- Record methods, assumptions, and conclusions so analysis can support engineering decisions.
- Explain findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by spotting ways to strengthen data collection, reporting, and decision-making.
Required qualifications
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, or a similar field. You should bring strong analytical ability, solid problem-solving skills, and the capacity to make sense of complex technical information.
