Data Analyst

About the Role

Volvo Financial Services is hiring a Data Analyst for its Global D&IT Data Team. Based at the company’s global headquarters, this role focuses on turning business needs into practical data solutions that support decision-making, reporting, and analysis.

You will partner with business teams to gather requirements, work with data colleagues, and help deliver accurate, business-ready data products. The role also includes supporting migration work from legacy platforms to next-generation systems and contributing to reporting and dashboard development.

What You’ll Do

• Work with information architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to locate relevant data sources and support extraction for analysis.
• Help prepare data from older systems for migration into the next-generation platforms being rolled out by VFS.
• Assist in defining, updating, and documenting reporting needs, and build or maintain reports and dashboards when needed using SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
• Make sure data products remain reliable, accurate, and aligned with business goals.
• Operate independently by organizing priorities, suggesting solutions, and helping improve ways of working.
• Present findings and recommendations in a clear, practical way so stakeholders can act on them.
• Support data governance efforts by helping maintain quality, consistency, and security across data assets.

Team and Work Environment

You will report to the Director of Data Governance and Operations within VFS D&IT and join a stable global cross-functional team. The environment is highly collaborative, with a strong focus on digital innovation, performance improvement, and customer experience.

VFS values in-person collaboration and operates as an on-site business. The preferred location for this position is Wroclaw, Poland or Greensboro, North Carolina, USA.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a similar discipline.
• Previous experience working as a Data Analyst, ideally with data from Sales or Finance.
• Strong hands-on ability with SQL, Excel, and Power BI, along with experience creating data solutions.
• Exposure to Python or R for analysis work.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and deliver useful data outputs.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and careful attention to detail.
• Experience converting stakeholder needs into meaningful insights and visual presentations.
• Understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud platforms such as Azure is an advantage.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain data in a way that is useful and easy to understand.
• Experience with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of statistical methods and data modeling is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role is USD 72,600 to USD 89,700 per year, and the position may be bonus eligible where applicable. Final compensation depends on location, job-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, experience, and internal pay equity considerations.
