Custodian (WVP)

Role overview

Berkeley County School District is seeking a Custodian (WVP) to support facility cleanliness and day-to-day upkeep at its Charleston, South Carolina metropolitan area location. This is a part-time onsite position.

Working schedule

The role runs for 8 hours per day across 245 employment days.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $32,673 to $48,000.

• Proof of a high school diploma or an equivalent credential
• Or one year of custodial experience verified on company letterhead and signed by a supervisor
• Or a comparable combination of education and experience
• A negative TB test result dated within the last 12 months

BCSD recommends that applicants upload TB test results with the application. If the test has not yet been completed, applicants should upload a Word document confirming that the results will be added once available. If hired, any delay in providing TB results will slow the onboarding process.

Selection and interview process

Applicants chosen for an interview will be contacted within three weeks after the vacancy closes. The district asks candidates not to reach out for interview updates. Based on application volume, some applicants may not be interviewed. Candidates may also be reviewed for more than one vacancy.
