Key Responsibilities
- Administer project contracts in line with the agreed contractual framework and governance requirements.
- Interpret FIDIC clauses and support their practical application throughout the project.
- Keep contract files, registers, correspondence, and records accurate, current, and well organised.
- Assist with the preparation and review of variations, claims, extension of time submissions, notices, and change requests.
- Track contractual commitments, deliverables, and milestones to confirm compliance by all parties.
- Identify commercial and contractual exposures and contribute to mitigation actions.
- Work closely with commercial, legal, engineering, and project delivery teams on contract-related matters.
- Prepare commercial reports, contract updates, and management summaries as needed.
- Ensure project processes, contractual procedures, and corporate governance standards are followed.
- Support audits and maintain full traceability of contractual documentation across the project duration.
Requirements
- 8 to 12 years of experience in contract administration, quantity surveying, or commercial management on major infrastructure projects.
- Prior exposure to rail, metro, transportation, or similarly large infrastructure developments.
- Solid knowledge of contract administration, commercial management, and contractual compliance.
- Practical experience working with FIDIC contract forms.
- Hands-on involvement in variations, claims, extension of time submissions, and contractual notices.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to interpret contractual terms and spot risks.
- Experience on complex, high-value infrastructure projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to coordinate smoothly with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
- Middle East, especially UAE, experience will be an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
