About the Role

Affirm is looking for a highly detail-focused and analytically strong Compensation Lead to manage compensation systems end to end. This role is responsible for making sure tools such as Radford for survey reporting and Pave for cycle management are configured to support company policies, procedures, and employee needs. The position plays an important part in daily compensation operations and in keeping compensation programs effective and market competitive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full administration of the company’s twice-yearly compensation cycles.
  • Contribute to every part of the annual compensation studies used to assess market competitiveness, including reviewing job roles, duties, activities, and requirements; leading benchmarking survey submission and review; and recommending changes to cash and equity pay ranges and structures.
  • Handle ad hoc compensation analysis projects covering areas such as incentive pay, equity programs, and pay equity reviews.
  • Own pay reporting for the different regions and geographies supported by Affirm.
  • Support compensation-related training and internal communications.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 5 years of experience in compensation or people analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with compensation management platforms, with strong preference for Pave.
  • A strong data mindset with the ability to turn raw information into practical insights using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma Computing, and Claude Code.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to work both independently and with others.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented style with the ability to communicate clearly across departments and meet deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and integrity, with the maturity to handle sensitive and confidential information carefully.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems with multiple variables and draw conclusions from the data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex information for employees and senior leaders.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities.
  • Solid customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and the ability to keep compensation plans compliant.

Compensation and Benefits

This role is assigned Pay Grade K and Equity Grade 4. New hires typically start at the lower end of the pay band. Affirm uses a transparent pay approach that considers location, experience, and role-specific skills.

The base salary range in Canada is CAD 112,000 to CAD 172,000 per year. Base pay is only one part of the overall package, which may also include equity awards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology expenses, and benefits such as fully subsidized medical coverage plus dental and vision for employees and dependents.
