Role overview
Apleona is seeking part-time cleaners to support operations in Loughrea, County Galway. This is an on-site position with a weekday morning/early afternoon schedule.
Working pattern
The shift runs Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00.
Main duties
- Vacuum carpets and mop or buff floors as required.
- Clean toilets and polish glass and brass fixtures and surfaces.
- Gather waste and ensure it is disposed of correctly.
- Handle cleaning products and equipment in line with COSHH guidance.
- Place appropriate safety signage while cleaning is in progress.
- Identify and report defects or safety concerns without delay.
- Stay alert to security matters and escalate any suspicious activity.
- Complete training relevant to the role when needed.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks assigned from time to time.
- Collaborate well with colleagues and deliver a high standard of customer service.
Qualifications and experience
- A solid work history is preferred; prior cleaning experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with cleaning machinery and tools is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices is required.
- Good spoken and written English is needed.
- Applicants should be able to work on their own and manage priorities effectively.
- Reliability, honesty, and flexibility are important.
