Role overview
The cleaner/project worker will keep the building clean, welcoming, and well-maintained at all times. The position focuses on day-to-day upkeep of shared spaces, washrooms, and other surfaces, along with general cleaning and winter snow removal duties.
Work location and schedule
Location: Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada
Shift days: Monday to Friday, with Sunday shifts as needed
Shift hours: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday to Friday during winter months, with occasional Sunday shifts when snowfall occurs; summer hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday
Wage: CAD 17.60 per hour

Responsibilities
- Keep shared rooms, kitchens, and washrooms clean and well maintained
- Carry out snow clearing during winter
- Sweep and mop floors regularly
- Wash windows and keep blinds free from dust
- Collect garbage and dispose of it correctly
- Maintain cleaning tools and materials in a safe, sanitary condition
- Observe the site for repair issues or replacement needs and report them
Skills and abilities
- Working knowledge of cleaning products, sanitation practices, and cleaning techniques
- WHMIS certification is considered an advantage
- Good physical endurance and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend
- Ability to lift, push, and pull loads of up to 50 lbs
