The Fair O'Blair is hiring a Cleaner to keep every part of the pub spotless and welcoming. The focus of the role is to maintain consistently high cleaning standards so guests have a better overall experience.
Pay and key details
Hourly pay is £12.91. This is a full-time, on-site position with 8 hours per week. Scheduled hours are early-morning shifts across the week: Monday 6:00-8:00, Tuesday 6:00-8:00, Wednesday 6:00-8:00, Thursday 7:00-9:00, Friday 7:00-9:00, Saturday 7:00-9:00, and Sunday 7:00-9:00. The closing date for applications is 29-06-2026.

What the job involves
You will be responsible for cleaning all pub areas thoroughly, including guest spaces, toilets, the bar, kitchen, staff rooms and outdoor areas. The role includes daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks, using cleaning products and equipment correctly, keeping supplies stocked, and informing the manager when replacements are needed. You will also report maintenance problems and pest-control concerns, while offering polite customer interactions such as greetings and farewells.
Training and development
The employer provides an award-winning training programme. You will be expected to complete induction training, job-specific training and ongoing refreshers. Development support can include structured on-the-job learning, apprenticeships, management academies, and cross-training in the bar, kitchen and hotel areas. There may also be pathways into team leader and shift leader positions.
