Chief Accountant

About the Role

Qataf Food Trading is hiring a Chief Accountant for one of its subsidiaries based in Lebanon. The subsidiary operates in the FMCG retail sector.

Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position where you will take charge of key accounting activities, support financial planning, and help maintain accurate, compliant records for the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations across the subsidiary.
• Prepare and review financial statements and related reports.
• Plan, monitor, and manage budgets effectively.
• Analyze financial data to support informed business decisions.
• Ensure accounting practices follow applicable standards and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting, budget control, and financial analysis.
• Sound understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on experience preparing financial statements.
• Advanced working knowledge of accounting software.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA will be considered an advantage.
