About the Role
Sparrows Leura is seeking another skilled Chef to become part of its kitchen team. The venue offers a lively, welcoming workplace with a supportive Head Chef and a close-knit crew that works together like family. This is a strong opportunity for a professional chef who enjoys a busy, high-energy kitchen environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes in a fast-moving commercial kitchen.
- Work across a range of cuisines and cooking styles.
- Manage your own section and maintain a consistently high standard throughout service.
- Contribute to the delivery of modern, innovative food.
- Maintain excellent food presentation and quality at all times.
Experience and Skills Required
- At least 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment.
- Ability to work 5 days within a 7-day operation.
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent level of trade experience.
- A flexible attitude, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.
- Professional grooming and pride in personal presentation.
- Solid knowledge of food hygiene standards and compliance.
- Availability to work a rotating roster from Monday through Sunday.
- Approximate working hours of 38 per week.
