Business Analyst

Role overview

This position focuses on turning business challenges into analytical problems that can be solved with data. The role requires strong questioning skills, sound logic, and the ability to interpret findings clearly so that business decisions are better informed.

Core responsibilities

• Break down business issues and convert them into data and analytics use cases.
• Ask the right questions to uncover what needs to be measured or analyzed.
• Use data sources effectively to identify answers and actionable insights.
• Work across multiple datasets and handle both structured and unstructured information with ease.
• Build dashboards and BI solutions to support reporting and decision-making.
• Draw meaningful conclusions from data using strong reasoning and interpretation skills.

Technical and domain expectations

• Develop a deep understanding of the business and translate its problems into data science and analytics tasks.
• Work confidently with bureau data and related concepts.
• Use DAX proficiently.
• Create BI dashboards using SQL, Power BI, Advanced Excel, R, Python, and Databricks.
• Build a strong grasp of business drivers and how data influences decisions and behaviors.

Stakeholder collaboration

• Partner with teams across Policy, Credit, Collections, Operations, Product, and other functions.
• Present model results and analytical outputs to management in a clear and effective manner.
