About the role
As a barista at Starbucks store 04826 in Merritt, British Columbia, you’ll help create a welcoming café experience through warm service and well-made beverages. The role is centered on connection with customers, teammates, and the wider community, while contributing to a positive environment where everyone feels included.
What you will do
You’ll work in a lively store setting, prepare food and drinks to standard or customized recipes, support customer needs, and help keep the store running smoothly. The job also involves cash handling, store safety practices, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and handling multiple tasks during each shift.

The ideal person enjoys interacting with others, works well in a team, and cares about delivering a strong customer experience. You should value quality, be willing to learn new beverage recipes and procedures, stay calm in a busy environment, and communicate clearly and pleasantly.
Experience and qualifications
No prior work experience is needed. You must be able to show regular, reliable attendance and punctuality, and be available for flexible scheduling that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. You also need to be able to follow store policies and standards, including quality beverage and food preparation, cash handling, and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Skills and abilities
You should be able to learn quickly, follow both spoken and written instructions, ask for clarification when needed, work well with others, build relationships, and understand customer needs through clear communication.
