Role Overview
This position is for an experienced model audit professional who is enthusiastic about financial modelling and motivated by growth. In this role, you will partner with a team of modelling specialists to assess and validate intricate financial models, making sure they are dependable, accurate, and commercially sound.
Operations
- Manage several teams across a range of live assignments.
- Oversee model audit work to confirm that models are mathematically accurate and commercially appropriate.
- Offer senior-level direction and practical insight to help deliver assignments effectively.
- Examine commercial agreements and ensure the model reflects them correctly.
- Contribute to improving financial modelling methods and internal tools, with a focus on innovation and ongoing refinement.
- Help build project plans, schedules, and staffing approaches so delivery is efficient and well coordinated.
People Leadership
- Supervise and guide a team of model audit professionals.
- Coach, encourage, and support junior colleagues throughout assignments.
- Work closely with colleagues and contribute actively to shared project work.
- Present model findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Translate complicated model issues into simple language for audiences without technical backgrounds.
Business Growth
- Support the growth strategy and commercial goals of a major business sector.
- Take part in preparing and shaping client proposals and pitches.
- Lead client discussions and strengthen long-term client relationships.
Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate should bring 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in a financial role, either within a respected advisory practice or a large corporate environment. A strong understanding of accounting principles is essential, and an accounting qualification would be an advantage. Deep expertise in project finance is required. Candidates should also have strong analytical ability and proven experience in building and using financial models in Excel. A degree in a numerate subject is expected, and a postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance would be beneficial. Experience with the FAST financial modelling standard is preferred.
