Role overview
Samsung SDS is looking for an Assistant Sales Manager to strengthen its sales function in Dubai. This role is focused on building business from the ground up, managing a personal customer base, and driving revenue through proactive selling in the logistics and freight forwarding space.
Key outcomes
- Deliver monthly and quarterly sales targets across revenue, margin, and volume.
- Grow a personal client portfolio through active prospecting and professional network development.
- Independently win new business through both cold and warm market approaches.
- Create and manage a self-sourced sales funnel with clear responsibility for conversions.
- Carry out field sales work, including client meetings, presentations, and commercial deal discussions.
- Work with pricing and operations teams to draft and submit quotations.
- Turn newly acquired accounts into live revenue-producing customers and support their first-stage onboarding.
- Keep sales records current, update pipeline status, and submit weekly win/loss summaries.
- Prepare weekly activity and performance updates for leadership in Sales Force.
Skills and competencies
- Strong capability to uncover and close new business opportunities on your own.
- Highly target-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability for KPI and revenue achievement.
- Confident communication and negotiation ability with stakeholders at different levels.
- Comfortable working across pricing, operations, and internal support functions.
- Ability to handle customer questions or complaints professionally.
- Presentation skills for discussions with senior management.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding sales.
- Immediate joining is preferred, especially for candidates on a visit visa or with short notice periods.
- A pre-existing customer network is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Suitable for junior to mid-level professionals.
Additional information
This position requires a self-driven sales profile with the ability to generate business independently rather than rely only on inbound leads. Experience using Sales Force for reporting and pipeline management is expected.
