Key responsibilities

• Support registered nurses with direct patient care tasks such as bathing, feeding, and personal hygiene assistance.
• Measure and document vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate.
• Observe patients regularly, track changes in condition, and escalate updates to the wider healthcare team.
• Assist with medication administration as instructed by registered nurses and keep records accurate and up to date.
• Help prepare patients for examinations and medical procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient area and follow infection prevention standards.
• Offer reassurance and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Work closely with the healthcare team to contribute to efficient and effective care delivery.

Requirements

• Valid certification as a nursing assistant.
• Previous experience in an assistant nurse role is an advantage, though not mandatory.
• Working knowledge of basic medical terminology and common procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude toward care.
• Ability to take direction and function effectively within a team.
• Physical endurance for lifting and moving patients when needed.
• Good attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
