Assistant Guest Relations Manager

Role overview

This position is based at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara in Doha, Qatar. The hotel is part of Minor Hotels, a global hospitality group with more than 530 properties across over 50 countries, operating brands such as Anantara, Avani, Elewana, Oaks, NH Hotels, NH Collection, nhow and TIVOLI.

The Assistant Guest Relations Manager will help deliver outstanding guest experiences while supporting the Guest Relations team with day-to-day operations.

What you will do

• Respond to guest questions, requests and complaints promptly and with a professional approach.
• Assist the front office team with guest service coordination and related activities.
• Help manage the check-in and check-out flow to keep operations efficient and smooth.
• Work with different departments to meet guest expectations and quickly resolve concerns.
• Support training and coaching of guest relations staff to uphold strong service quality.
• Contribute to the design and execution of guest satisfaction improvements and initiatives.
• Review guest feedback and identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
• Take part in special events and VIP guest arrangements.
• Follow hotel standards, policies and applicable local regulations.
• Support control of the guest relations budget and available resources.

Requirements

• A college diploma in hotel management or a closely related discipline is required.
• Prior experience in front office or guest services is expected.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities are important.
• Hands-on experience using front office systems is needed.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken, are required.
• Russian language ability will be considered an advantage.
