Role Overview
This opening is for an Assembler role in Americus, Georgia, within Cooper Lighting Solutions, a Signify business unit recognized as a leader in lighting.
What You Will Do
- Build, wire, inspect, test, and pack lighting fixtures through either an assembly line or bench-based workflow while keeping quality issues to a minimum.
- Record work order details accurately and completely as required.
- Carry out quality verification steps in line with inspection and control requirements.
- Keep tools, equipment, and the work area tidy and organized, while following the 5S+ checklist: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
- Escalate safety hazards, unsafe behavior, and safety improvement ideas to management.
What We Are Looking For
- A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Availability to work from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Comfort with bending, stooping, reaching forward, and standing for as long as 8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis without assistance.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools as needed.
- Must be legally allowed to work in the United States without needing current or future company sponsorship.
Additional Details
The starting pay for this position is $15.08 per hour. This is a union environment.
