Role Overview

As the Agency Development Manager for APAC Export, you will run the day-to-day execution of the agency investment strategy for export business. You will report to the Director of Export Advertising Sales and work closely with the wider Netflix Sales organization.

The position owns senior-level relationships across investment leaders at holdco agency teams, independent agencies, and other key external stakeholders. You will keep a steady rhythm of meetings, business reviews, and relationship building while strengthening cross-agency ties with major export-focused agency groups and resellers. A core part of the job is delivering revenue outcomes by negotiating and closing large-volume and upfront agency advertising commitments, then making sure those agreements are executed and tracked properly for each major partner.

This role also supports internal progress needed to enable business success, with close collaboration across Ad Product, Finance Strategy, and Ad Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead agency-driven sales activity to achieve revenue goals and create a strong partner experience.
  • Negotiate, oversee, and sustain upfront advertising agreements, trading deals, and other major agency-level commitments across the Singapore and China agency landscape.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with major agency holding groups and operating-company agencies to secure media partnerships and grow investment share.
  • Create a high-level go-to-market plan for the agency account portfolio.
  • Use Netflix audience insights and premium content inventory to support revenue growth.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Strategy teams to shape the investment approach.
  • Track market movements and competitor actions, and spot opportunities for new ideas and innovation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 9 years of experience in advertising, including sales, with a demonstrated history of growing revenue.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading agency sales and negotiations at group level.
  • Background in branding advertising is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of media agencies and holding companies in Singapore and China.
  • Established senior-level network, especially with Heads of Investment.
  • Solid strategic, analytical, and creative judgment.
  • Strong presentation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Comfort working in a new-business environment that involves uncertainty, ambiguity, and risk.
  • Professional-level Mandarin for business communication and English fluency for regional and global cross-functional work.
