Accountant

Job Objective

This position is for a meticulous and driven Accountant to assist the Finance & Accounts function in keeping financial records accurate, handling day-to-day accounting entries, and supporting reporting and compliance work on time. The role provides practical exposure to several accounting areas and helps keep finance operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain daily financial transactions in the AP, AR, and GL ledgers.
• Support invoice creation, billing activities, and follow-up on customer collections.
• Carry out routine reconciliations for bank, supplier, and customer balances.
• Keep financial files and supporting documents well organized for audits and compliance checks.
• Assist with journal entries and month-end closing tasks.
• Help prepare VAT-related documents and meet compliance requirements.
• Work with internal teams to gather and verify financial information.
• Track petty cash movements and employee expense reimbursements.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related subject is required.

Technical Skills

• Solid grasp of core accounting concepts and financial reporting basics.
• Hands-on familiarity with accounting systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
• Good working ability in Microsoft Excel.
• Awareness of UAE VAT rules is beneficial.
• Careful data entry habits and fundamental reconciliation capability.
• Comfort with learning and adapting to software-driven workflows.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting is required. Experience in a manufacturing or project-oriented environment is helpful, though not essential.
