Role overview
This position focuses on day-to-day accounting activities, reporting, reconciliations, and support for compliance and audit requirements. The role also involves working closely with cross-functional teams to improve reporting quality and streamline internal finance operations.
Key responsibilities
- Review, compile, and interpret daily reports tied to payment operations.
- Process daily settlement transactions with banks.
- Carry out routine accounting tasks on a day-to-day basis.
- Handle bookkeeping duties and monthly reporting work.
- Support annual statutory audits, tax-related matters, and company secretarial work.
- Assist with cash flow tracking, intercompany activity, and settlement processes.
- Monitor and reconcile client account balances each day.
- Help prepare monthly and quarterly compliance submissions for the licensing authority.
- Respond to ad hoc analytical or information requests as needed.
- Collaborate with other teams to enhance financial reporting quality and automate operational finance processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in preparing a full set of accounts and closing month-end books.
- A Degree or Diploma in Accounting, or membership in a recognised professional accounting body.
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, financial reporting standards and practices, and tax regulations.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly while communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Prior exposure to the payments sector is an advantage.
- Genuine interest in fintech start-ups and working with numbers.
- Open to learning, proactive in approach, and well organised.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Applicants with fewer years of experience may be evaluated for a Junior Accountant position.

Additional information
This role is based in Singapore and follows an on-site working arrangement. It is a full-time position.
