Role overview
The Grand Hotel in Malahide is seeking a seasoned Accommodation Supervisor to strengthen its Housekeeping team. In this role, you will support the management team in keeping the Accommodation department running smoothly, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard.
About the hotel
Set by the sea in Malahide, the Grand Hotel sits in one of Dublin’s most appealing coastal towns. It is well placed near Dublin Airport and the M1/M50 routes, while still offering easy access to Dublin city centre. The surrounding area includes the marina, Malahide Castle & Gardens, a championship golf course, scenic coastal walks, and a lively mix of shops, restaurants, and bars. Public transport links by bus and rail make commuting straightforward.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee room checks and ensure bedrooms and other areas are consistently maintained to the required standards and in line with relevant guidelines.
- Maintain strong cleaning standards across guest bedrooms, public areas, and conference suites.
- Support recruitment and selection so the department has the right people in the right positions at the right time.
- Work closely with the Maintenance team to help ensure hotel standards remain consistently high.
Candidate profile
The hotel is looking for someone with prior supervisory experience in a comparable 4-star or 5-star property. The right person will communicate clearly, work well with others, pay close attention to detail, stay calm under pressure, and bring a flexible, approachable, and hands-on leadership style. A strong command of English is essential.
