Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position in Patna for a Warehouse Specialist. The role focuses on routine warehouse activities such as accepting materials, unloading incoming shipments, checking paperwork and quantities, arranging and packing products, and getting outbound orders ready. It also includes safe use of warehouse tools like pallet jacks, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring goods move smoothly between warehouse, production, logistics, and procurement functions.
Key Duties
- Accept incoming materials and verify that delivery documents and received quantities match.
- Unload shipments and handle products carefully to avoid damage.
- Organize stock, pack items for dispatch, and prepare outgoing shipments.
- Use pallet jacks and other basic material-handling equipment safely and correctly.
- Carry out stock checks, update warehouse records, and flag any mismatches to the supervisor.
- Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and compliant with safety rules.
- Work with logistics, production, and procurement teams to support timely material movement.
Requirements
- Experience in shipping and receiving activities, including coordination with carriers and document verification.
- Hands-on experience with unloading, packing, and safe goods handling.
- Ability to maintain inventory control through stock counts and accurate record updates.
- Comfortable operating a pallet jack and following equipment safety practices.
- Previous exposure to warehouse or logistics work, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Capable of working accurately in a fast-moving environment and meeting deadlines.
- Basic computer skills for inventory systems and simple reporting tasks.
- Good attention to detail, dependability, and ability to work independently or within a team.
- Physically fit for manual handling tasks and standing for long periods.
- Minimum education of high school or equivalent; vocational training in warehousing or logistics is a plus.
