About the Company

Honest Health is focused on reshaping primary care through a model built on partnership, purpose, and measurable impact. The organization works with health systems, physician organizations, payers, providers, practices, and patients to create solutions that improve care quality, manage costs, and support better long-term health outcomes. Its work is guided by innovation, community impact, and kindness.

About the Role

As a Market General Manager, you will lead operational and growth strategy for the market while overseeing program design and delivery across Honest Health’s partnerships with provider organizations and health systems as they move toward value-based care. You will manage external partner relationships, coordinate closely with internal teams, and support a large, multi-region market with matrixed reporting.

You will own strategy, expansion, operational execution, and profit-and-loss accountability for at least two business partnerships in the market. In partnership with the Market Chief Medical Officer and other market leaders, you will help oversee financial, operational, clinical, and quality performance. You will also work across Finance, Business Development, Operations, Care Management, Data Science, Talent, and Executive leadership to drive shared outcomes.

This role is remote, but you must live in or near Phoenix, Arizona so you can meet partners and team members in person and visit physician offices and healthcare facilities when needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead market strategy focused on financial and operational results, while identifying growth opportunities for Honest Health and its provider organization partners.
  • Track the performance of each venture closely, applying proven practices and lessons learned to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and year-over-year results.
  • Oversee a multi-million-dollar market P&L and ensure the right value levers are in place to improve patient and financial outcomes.
  • Work with partner payers and the Honest network team to maintain a strong, high-performing network.
  • Partner with executive leaders, the market CMO dyad, and central teams to deliver company goals and provide guidance on operational and clinical initiatives.
  • Coach management teams, set accountability for key performance indicators, and advocate for operational and clinical support as market needs evolve.
  • Help ensure clinical teams stay focused on patient needs, use Honest processes effectively, and are staffed so clinicians and care teams can work at the top of their licenses.
  • Work with Finance, Analytics, and Operations to improve performance, standardize processes, and spread successful practices across markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local health plan leadership, including sales and marketing, to strengthen care coordination and grow Honest membership.
  • Represent the Honest brand in the community and build awareness through networking and grassroots efforts.
  • Take on additional related duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • A strong match for a fast-moving startup environment, with comfort adapting quickly when priorities shift.
  • Leadership background of 10 or more years in healthcare operations, including experience with value-based risk contracts under capitated arrangements.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage products and populations with chronic conditions, along with the ability to help execute a strong payer-provider solution.
  • Understanding of commercial value-based models, including shared savings and risk arrangements.
  • Deep P&L experience with a track record of managing within budget and interpreting key performance indicators.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, with more frequent in-person meetings early in the relationship-building process.
  • Executive presence and a collaborative style when working with internal and external boards, health plan members, provider partners, and Honest team members.
  • Ability to work independently, build operational dashboards, and communicate performance clearly.
  • Comfort doing whatever is needed in a fast-paced startup setting, including tasks beyond a typical scope.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage clinical and non-clinical employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience using Tableau reports and dashboards is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
