Role Summary
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end flow of contract goods, from order placement through production and logistics, while helping shape sales support policies, stock planning, and retail operations across the dealer network in Greater Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish monthly, quarterly, and annual performance targets, then translate them into sales programs and policies that help the dealer network deliver against those goals.
- Manage the full supply chain lifecycle, including ordering, production coordination, and logistics planning, to keep goods moving smoothly from order stage to retail partners.
- Set stock-holding standards and supervise inventory flow so sales and financial objectives are met.
- Create and refine retail operating guidelines and policies to improve the customer journey across the franchise dealer network, including process design and hardware setup.
- Build criteria for retail sales team performance and quality, and connect on-ground operational insights to academy training, qualification, and certification frameworks using both quantitative and qualitative measures.
- Work with product and manufacturing teams to ensure products are delivered with the right quality, quantity, and timing.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders such as product, retail operations, and aftersales to align sales activity with broader business priorities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a similar role in the automotive sector.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian automotive market and a genuine interest in electric vehicles.
- Hands-on experience in supply chain, distribution, and stock pipeline management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to spot process improvements and design practical new approaches.
- Ability to work autonomously on assigned work without needing close day-to-day supervision.
- Sound financial understanding and commercial judgment, including awareness of sales profitability and growth opportunities.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools and database software in everyday work.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with sales, operations, internal teams, and senior leaders.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving, high-growth startup-like environment and adapt quickly to change.
