Role overview

This position reports to the Head of Strategy & Corporate Development, EMEA and is responsible for supporting the regional growth agenda through structured analysis, market intelligence, and strategic planning. The role plays a key part in shaping and delivering strategy across EMEA, while also assisting senior leaders with business decisions and priority initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to strategy creation and implementation in response to changing competition, market movements, and technology shifts.
• Analyze markets and customers to uncover growth avenues and help drive revenue and market share expansion.
• Develop and maintain organized datasets covering market size, competitor positioning, and key business metrics.
• Carry out on-demand analysis to support strategic decisions across the EMEA business.
• Prepare market reviews that highlight opportunities for both organic and inorganic growth.
• Work with data and commercial teams to advance initiatives that depend on strong data insights.
• Support leadership processes in EMEA, including gathering inputs for QBRs/QFRs, creating presentation materials, and monitoring action items.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from regional executive leadership, including analysis and briefing preparation.

Required experience and skills

The ideal candidate should have experience in a complex organization, consulting environment, or a regulated industry. Strong analytical ability is essential, along with the capacity to deconstruct complicated issues into clear, structured parts. Proficiency with Excel, databases, and presentation software such as PowerPoint is required. The role also calls for the ability to present insights clearly in written and slide-based formats, plus a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. A degree or equivalent qualification is expected.

Preferred background

It is advantageous to have a basic understanding of financial services, payments, or fintech. Experience in merchant or issuing businesses is also helpful, as is familiarity with structured problem-solving methods. A postgraduate qualification in economics, business, strategy, or a related subject would be considered a plus.
