About the Role

Navia is looking for a Security Analyst with a strong focus on fraud research to join its Information Security team. In this position, you will identify, investigate, and help reduce fraudulent activity across the organization, including both computer-related and non-digital fraud risks. The role involves examining suspicious behavior, spotting patterns that may signal fraud exposure, and helping improve internal controls through monitoring, analysis, recordkeeping, and reporting. You will partner with the Director of Information Security and other business teams to support fraud prevention, incident response, and broader risk management efforts.

Work Environment

Candidates who live within 30 miles of any of the company’s four office locations may be requested to work on a hybrid basis, depending on the needs of the role. Requirements

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, criminal justice, business, data analysis, or a related discipline, or have equivalent relevant work experience. The role also calls for at least 3 years of experience in information security, fraud analysis, fraud operations, investigations, risk management, or a similar area.

Skills and Qualifications

• Working knowledge of security practices in regulated industries such as healthcare or banking.
• Hands-on experience investigating suspicious activity, fraud signals, or security incidents.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to detect patterns, anomalies, and risk areas.
• Ability to review logs, reports, and transactional information to support investigations and decisions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and sharing recommendations.
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive data.
• Familiarity with phishing, social engineering, account compromise, identity fraud, and common fraud controls.
• Understanding of access control, logging, monitoring, incident response, and risk assessment concepts.
• Exposure to compliance and security frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, CCPA, and SOC is preferred.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with monitoring tools is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently, manage several priorities, and collaborate across departments.
