Restaurant Manager

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned hospitality professional to manage a fine-dining Indian restaurant in Katara Cultural Village, Doha. The position is hands-on and site-based, with responsibility for leading the team, strengthening service standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day restaurant performance.

What the role covers

This position focuses on operational leadership, guest satisfaction, and maintaining excellence across service, food quality, hygiene, and brand presentation. You will supervise both service and kitchen coordination, keep staffing and inventory on track, and support the business with cost control and promotional efforts.

Key duties

• Run daily restaurant operations so service remains efficient, hygienic, and aligned with company policies.
• Guide, train, coach, and inspire front-of-house employees to build a strong and productive team culture.
• Stay actively engaged with guests, respond to feedback professionally, and resolve concerns in a timely manner.
• Handle P&L-related responsibilities, including labor cost oversight, inventory planning, waste minimization, and revenue improvement through effective upselling.
• Uphold high standards in food presentation, service behavior, and the overall dining atmosphere.
• Work closely with the kitchen to coordinate service and maintain seamless operations.
• Monitor and manage stock levels, place orders as needed, and support basic budgeting and cost control.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members.
• Support leadership in promotions and help preserve the restaurant’s brand standards.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and labor requirements in Qatar.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of focused restaurant or hospitality management experience in Qatar.
• Strong working knowledge of Arabic, both spoken and written.
• Excellent command of English, including both verbal and written communication.
• Solid understanding of the Qatar dining market, local guest preferences, food safety expectations, and business practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and encourage collaboration.
• Professional attitude, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to perform well in a busy, fast-moving setting.

This is a full-time role based on-site in Doha, Qatar. The restaurant is a fine-dining Indian concept located in Katara Cultural Village. The opening is intended for an experienced leader who is passionate about delivering memorable dining experiences and maintaining high operational standards.
