Project Coordinator

Canopy Team is a women-led, multidisciplinary practice working where sports, design, and project management meet. The firm helps organizations in sports and entertainment shape spaces for training, fans, and competition, and supports clients with strategy and event-experience expertise. Its work covers the full built-environment lifecycle, from early vision and design through construction, opening day, and ongoing operations.

The team is looking for a highly organized, driven Project Coordinator who can support both design work and project management. This role is a blend of creative production and project coordination, with involvement in concept development and execution. The right person will bring a strong design eye, solid organization, a practical mindset, and comfort working across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the coordination of design outputs across entitlement, design, and construction stages.
• Create, edit, and adapt graphic materials for project teams, including logos, renderings, mockups, presentations, and other digital assets used in real estate, architecture, design, and construction work.
• Track and maintain confidential project budgets, schedules, meeting agendas, and related documentation.
• Stay informed on trends and best practices in sports venues and public gathering spaces, and apply that knowledge to project work.
• Act as a secondary point of contact for owners, design consultants, city representatives, and other project stakeholders.
• Be available for occasional non-standard working hours, including weekends when needed.
• Take on other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years of professional experience, with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and work experience.
• Early-career exposure to architecture, construction, design, interior design, graphic design, real estate development, project management, or a similar field.
• Strong computer literacy, with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Preferred familiarity with conceptual 3D modeling tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit.
• Hands-on experience creating graphic elements, plus a working understanding of branding, page layouts, typography, and core design principles.
• Ability to read and assess architectural drawings and other building documentation.
• Interest in professional sports and sports venues.
• Interest in building a career in architecture, design, development, or project management.
• Clear communication skills, strong organization, and comfort working in uncertain or evolving situations.
• Capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced, changing environments.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and attend occasional in-person meetings with colleagues and clients.
• Applicants must be prepared to submit work samples or examples demonstrating technical ability.
• Must be able to work from the Baltimore, Maryland office on a weekly basis.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000.
