Role Overview
This Canada-based Product Intern position is suited to someone with strong analytical ability and excellent interpersonal skills. The role sits in a fast-moving environment and offers exposure to product quality, feature validation, and digital experience improvement across both mobile and web products. You will support product and engineering teams to help launch features successfully and raise the overall standard of product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Test product features on mobile and web before and after release to confirm they work as intended.
- Identify defects or workflow issues and share clear, detailed reports with practical next steps.
- Review user journeys on app and web experiences and suggest improvements where needed.
- Work with product, design, and engineering partners to maintain quality benchmarks.
- Help improve QA workflows, practices, and supporting tools over time.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a similar discipline.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 is mandatory to be considered.
- Strong interest in product operations and product strategy, along with a willingness to learn how to influence outcomes in a team setting.
- Experience using both qualitative and quantitative approaches to understand customer needs.
- Solid analytical ability, strong data visualization skills, and careful attention to detail.
- Capability to convert product problems and needs into technical requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Claude or a comparable large language model tool is required, with comfort using AI for productivity, research, and communication.
- Familiarity with product management basics and agile ways of working is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, or introductory SQL is preferred.
- Exposure to UX principles through coursework or app/website analysis is preferred.
- Experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD is preferred.
- Exposure to Jira or other Atlassian tools is preferred.
