Role overview
Meta is looking for a Procurement Operations Lead to oversee procure-to-pay activities, strengthen relationships with key partners, and help improve how procurement works across the business. The position focuses on providing accurate, timely resolution of questions and exceptions through a case management platform while advancing automation and continuous improvement across procurement operations.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable tackling operational challenges, using sound judgment, and delivering dependable service to internal stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end procure-to-pay cycle, spot process delays, and drive issues through to resolution.
- Investigate and coordinate responses to questions related to purchase orders and their alignment with contracts.
- Guide internal teams and suppliers on procurement systems, procedures, policies, compliance expectations, and best practices.
- Improve the purchasing experience by standardizing workflows, increasing automation, and designing scalable processes.
- Use AI tools and data insights to simplify workflows, lower manual effort, and identify patterns or exceptions proactively.
- Work with technology partners to test and refine AI-enabled solutions for procurement operations.
- Build approaches that improve source-to-pay efficiency and support scalability across global operations.
- Represent the source-to-pay function in cross-functional programs and initiatives.
- Support or lead change management work tied to process and technology changes.
- Review data to uncover pain points, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and manage dashboards, metrics, and reports to monitor source-to-pay performance.
- Translate data and trends into clear business narratives and insights.
- Create and update training materials and knowledge-base content.
- Assist with audit-related research and analysis.
- Contribute to special projects as needed.
- Stay informed on procurement trends, automation, and emerging technologies.
Minimum qualifications
- Understanding of end-to-end source-to-pay processes.
- Strong communication, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.
- High attention to detail.
- Comfort working through ambiguity.
- Proficiency with productivity and analysis tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization tools.
- Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP, along with procurement platforms.
- Familiarity with case management or ticketing systems.
- Exposure to business intelligence tools such as Tableau.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience applying responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality/accuracy review.
- Ongoing development of AI skills such as prompt or context engineering and agent orchestration.
- Change management experience related to technology transformation.
- Ability to use AI tools to redesign workflows and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency or quality.
- Strong analytics background with the ability to draw insights from large datasets.
- Experience with automation tools, AI applications, or generative AI in a procurement or finance setting.
- Experience in workflow automation, bot development, or process digitization.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods.
- BA/BS in business, supply chain, procurement, finance, or management preferred.
- Experience collaborating with software engineering teams on requirements and user acceptance testing.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this role is $139,000 to $196,000 per year, with additional bonus, equity, and benefits. Total compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay shown does not include bonus, equity, or sales incentives, where applicable.
